Where children comes first

At Mirambeena, we nurture children in a home-like, inclusive

community where play, nature, and belonging inspire

confidence, curiosity, and compassion for life’s journey.

A place to belong,

explore and grow

Mirambeena Children’s Centre is a trusted and long-established early learning provider, proudly serving families in the community since 1988. As a not-for-profit, community-based centre, we offer quality care for children from 3 months to 5 years, our focus has always been on nurturing children, supporting families, and strengthening community connections.

With over 35 years of operation, Mirambeena has offered many children a caring environment in which to grow and develop, providing the best possible start to their education.

We operate four rooms, each offering a nurturing and stimulating environment where children are able to explore, learn, and play.

BELONG. EXPLORE. GROW.

Mirambeena is a home away from home, where children are cherished, families feel connected, and community thrives.

Play is central to learning, fostering imagination, curiosity, resilience, problem-solving, and social connection.

We believe that children thrive when they enjoy healthy, nutritious meals and develop positive eating habits that support their growth and learning.

Our rooms

Gumnut

Caring for babies 3 months–2 years, the Gumnut Room provides a calm and nurturing environment for our youngest learners. Where experienced educators guide each child with gentle care, providing plenty of space to explore, play, and develop foundational skills in a safe and supportive setting.

Possum

For children 2 –3 years, the Possum Room is designed for curious toddlers ready to explore their world. Providing a dedicated outdoor area and art and craft space to encourage curiosity through active play, dress-ups, art, mud and sand, with a focus on fun and hands-on learning.

Butterfly

Catering to 3-4 year olds, the Butterfly Room provides a warm, play-rich pre-kindy environment where children develop foundational social, emotional, and self-help skills. Through open-ended experiences, outdoor discovery, and creative exploration, educators support children to build confidence, independence, and a strong sense of belonging as they take the next steps in their learning journey

Kookaburra

Designed for 4-5 year olds, the Kookaburra Room offers a stimulating, engaging kindergarten program that nurtures school readiness and lifelong learning. Blending play-based learning, nature play, loose parts exploration, and opportunities for safe risk-taking, the program fosters curiosity, problem-solving, resilience, and collaborative learning in preparation for the transition to Prep.
